- Colophonium/Rosin: A pine-derived resin used in waxes and balms; chemicals law classes it as a skin sensitiser, and cosmetics law does not restrict it. Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP), Annex VI Part 3 Table 3, index number 650-015-00-7, "rosin; colophony": Skin Sens. 1, H317, "may cause an allergic skin reaction". It appears in no annex of EU Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, so cosmetics law places no restriction on it.
- Propylene Glycol: A solvent that shows up in patch-test clinics, more often as irritation than as allergy. American Contact Dermatitis Society, Allergen of the Year 2018 (Jacob SE, Scheman A, McGowan MA, Dermatitis 2018;29(1):3-5).

Entry 45 covers its non-preservative use; it is separately an allowed preservative at Annex V entry 34.
